Salik Seeks Japanese Expertise to Train Pakistani Workforce for Global Market

Islamabad: Chaudhry Salik Hussain, the Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, has extended an invitation to Japanese companies to train Pakistan’s local workforce in alignment with global market demands. This initiative aims to boost skill development and enhance employment opportunities for Pakistanis in international markets.

According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Hussain discussed the proposal during a meeting with Japanese Ambassador H.E. Akamatsu Shuichi in Islamabad. He highlighted the longstanding economic partnership between Pakistan and Japan and expressed a keen interest in leveraging Japanese expertise for human resource development.

The minister underscored the importance of technical assistance and proposed the establishment of a joint technical college in Pakistan. This institution would focus on imparting skills specifically tailored to meet the demands of the Japanese market, thereby preparing the younger generation for potential opportunities abroad.
