Karachi, Sapphire Fibres Limited, a leading textile company, has issued a notice regarding an upcoming Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of its shareholders. The meeting is scheduled to take place on July 20, 2023, in Karachi, and will address several crucial matters.
The agenda for the EGM includes the confirmation of minutes from the previous General Meetings held on October 26, 2022, and December 27, 2022. Additionally, the shareholders will vote to elect nine directors, as stipulated by the board under section 159(1) of the Companies Act, 2017, for a three-year term.
Another significant agenda item is the consideration and approval, with or without modifications, of an ordinary resolution regarding the transmission of Annual Audited Accounts. The resolution seeks consent from the members to circulate the Audited Financial Statements through QR enabled code and weblink, in accordance with Notification No. 389(1)/2023 dated March 21, 2023, issued by the Securities Exchange Commission of Pakistan.
Furthermore, the EGM will allow for the discussion of any other business, with the permission of the Chair.
