Schools in Kulgam District Lack Leadership, Impacting Education Quality

Srinagar: In the Kulgam district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), a significant number of schools are currently operating without principals and headmasters, highlighting severe administrative shortcomings in the education sector.

According to Kashmir Media Service, not only are 16 higher secondary schools and 21 other schools affected, but also key roles such as the Chief Education Officer (CEO), Deputy CEO, three Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs), four Zonal Education Planning Officers (ZEPOs), and 124 lecturer positions remain unfilled for months. This substantial vacancy in leadership roles has notably disrupted the operational effectiveness of these educational institutions.

The absence of administrative heads has stirred concerns among parents regarding the deteriorating quality of education, with many expressing frustration over the lack of supervision and its negative impact on the educational environment.
