Security Forces Neutralize Seven Militants in Kurram District Operation

Kurram: In a targeted offensive on August 15, 2024, Pakistani security forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation in Kurram District against the militant group Fitna Al Khawarij, resulting in seven militants killed and five wounded.

According to Inter Services Public Relations, the operation was initiated based on intelligence reports of militant activity in the area. Security forces engaged the militants’ hideout, neutralizing seven and injuring five. Additionally, a significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was seized during the raid.

The militants were reportedly involved in numerous attacks against both security forces and civilians. A sanitization operation is currently underway to ensure the area is cleared of any remaining threats. The military has reaffirmed its commitment to eradicating terrorism from the country.
