Senate Leadership Elections Scheduled for Today in Islamabad

Islamabad, The Senate of Pakistan is set to conduct elections for the positions of Chairman and Deputy Chairman today within the Senate hall premises.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Presiding Officer Ishaq Dar has announced the election schedule, stating that candidates are required to submit their duly filled nomination papers to the Secretary Senate by eleven a.m. for scrutiny which will commence at eleven fifteen a.m. Following this, the Presiding Officer has adjourned the house’s proceedings until twelve thirty.

This election is a significant event in the parliamentary calendar, determining the leadership for the Senate, the upper house of the country’s bicameral legislature.
