Shabbir Mansha Churra Named Chairman of Pakistan-China Business Council

Karachi, The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) announced the appointment of Shabbir Mansha Churra as the Chairman of the Pakistan-China Business Council for the term 2024-25. Atif Ikram Sheikh, President of FPCCI, expressed his confidence in Churra's leadership capabilities and his extensive experience in trade and customs issues, stating that he is well-suited to enhance bilateral trade relations between Pakistan and China.

According to Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Churra, who is a former Vice President of FPCCI and a seasoned industrialist, has been instrumental in resolving complex issues with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Customs Department, Port, and Shipping. His previous role as the convener of the FPCCI Customs Valuation Committee highlighted his ability to navigate and rectify persistent challenges faced by exporters and importers. Churra also holds the position of founder chairman of the Pakistan Artificial Leather Importers and Merchants Association.

In his new role, Churra is expected to significantly contribute to strengthening trade ties and fostering amicable relations between Pakistan and China. Sheikh underscored that Churra’s strategic insight and commitment are crucial for exploiting developmental opportunities for Pakistan’s prosperity. FPCCI has committed to providing full support and cooperation to Churra and the Council to ensure their objectives are met.
