Shahtaj Sugar Mills Limited to Hold 18th Extraordinary General Meeting

Karachi, Shahtaj Sugar Mills Limited has announced that its 18th Extraordinary General Meeting will be held on Monday, May 29, 2023, in Karachi to discuss various matters, including the election of ten directors for a period of three years.

The retiring directors include Mr. Muneer Nawaz, Mr. M. Naeem, Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad, Mr. Suleman Lalani, Mr. Sheikh Asim Rafiq, Mr. Toqueer Nawaz, Mrs. Samia Shah Nawaz Idris, Mr. Rasheed Amjad Khalid, Mr. Abid Nawaz, and Ms. Ava Ardeshir Cowasjee.

Additionally, the meeting will consider the approval of the remuneration payable to the Chief Executive. The register of members of the Company will remain closed from May 22, 2023, to May 29, 2023, both days inclusive.

The meeting will also discuss ordinary business, including the confirmation of the minutes of the Annual General Meeting held on 27th January 2023, and any other ordinary business with the permission of the Chair. Shareholders are advised to attend the meeting to ensure that their views are represented.
