Shia Community Leaders Review Security Measures with Punjab Police Ahead of Muharram

Lahore: A delegation of prominent Shia community leaders visited the Central Police Office to discuss security preparations and logistical arrangements for the upcoming Muharram observances.

According to Punjab Police, the meeting with Additional IG Operations Punjab, Shehzada Sultan, included license holders of Majalis and processions from key locations like Mochi Gate and Model Town. The community leaders expressed satisfaction with the existing security measures but offered suggestions on improving traffic management and parking during the processions. Sultan assured the delegation that adjustments would be made to address the concerns about goods transport vehicles and container movement, with a focus on maintaining strict schedules for their entry and exit.
