SIU of Indian police raids several houses in Kishtwar

Jammu, July 05, 2023 (PPI-OT): The Special Investigation Unit of Indian police has raided several houses in Kishtwar district of Jammu region in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The sleuths of SIU along with Indian paramilitary and police personnel conducted raids on the houses of the people affiliated with the ongoing struggle for right to self-determination in the district.

The house raids were carried out in connection with a false case registered under black law, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), against the pro-freedom people. Earlier, the Modi regime issued non-bailable warrants against 13 people of the district who migrated to Azad Jammu and Kashmir over two decades ago due to the atrocities of Indian troops. Meanwhile, personnel of Indian army and police arrested a Kashmiri man, identified as Mohammed Sadiq Lone, during a cordon and search operation in Kreeri village of Baramulla district.
