SM Tanveer Commended for Dedication to National Service, Draws Parallel to Father’s Legacy

KARACHI, Leading figure in the United Business Group (UBG) and an authoritative voice in the gas and petroleum sector, Malik Khuda Baksh, lauded SM Tanveer for his unwavering commitment to serve the nation, likening his fervour to that of his father, SM Munir. Citing his distinctive performance, Baksh recognized Tanveer’s endeavours, which have earned him acclaim not just in Punjab but across the country, asserting that his efforts as the Minister of Industry, Commerce, Investment, Energy, and Skill Development will chart a progressive course for future governments.

According to a news release by United Business Group (UBG), Malik Khuda Baksh reminisced about SM Munir’s leadership, under which the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) not only gained prominence domestically but also internationally. However, Baksh pointed out the recent setbacks the institution faced, expressing optimism that the UBG’s presidential candidate for the upcoming Federation Election, Atif Ikram Shaikh, will rejuvenate the FPCCI’s esteemed reputation.

Furthermore, Baksh voiced his confidence in the UBG’s potential return to power, emphasizing the group’s intent to offer invaluable guidance to the government for the benefit of Pakistan’s business community. He underscored the collective willingness of the business community to extend full-fledged support to governmental initiatives, particularly those aimed at curbing inflation. Concluding on a hopeful note, Baksh hinted at an upswing in Pakistan’s economic situation, suggesting the potential of the dollar’s value dropping below 260 rupees, which, he believes, will alleviate the populace’s financial burdens.
