Speaker National Assembly Meets Saudi Ambassador, Reaffirms Commitment to Strengthen Pak-Saudi Ties

Islamabad, Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq met with Saudi Ambassador Nawal bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to further deepen its fraternal ties with Saudi Arabia. The meeting, held at the National Assembly, underscored the strong bond between the two nations, rooted in shared religion, culture, history, and mutual trust.

According to National Assembly of Pakistan, Speaker Sadiq emphasized that Pakistan values its long-standing brotherly relations with Saudi Arabia and is dedicated to enhancing this partnership. He noted that the upward trajectory of Pak-Saudi ties is encouraging, and Pakistan aims to expand cooperation across various fields of mutual interest.

Speaker Sadiq acknowledged the deep respect and affinity the people of Pakistan have for Saudi Arabia, expressing admiration for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul AI, Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman, and the people of the Kingdom. He pointed out that both countries share common views on significant global and regional issues.

During the meeting, the Speaker highlighted the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening bilateral relations. He stressed that the exchange of parliamentary delegations and coordination among parliamentary friendship groups would help bring the two nations closer. He mentioned the invitation extended to the Chairman of Majlis-e-Shura of Saudi Arabia to visit Pakistan.

Speaker Sadiq also noted that the two Islamic countries have historically supported each other during difficult times. He commended Saudi Arabia’s support for Pakistan’s economic development and welcomed the Kingdom’s commitment to invest in Pakistan. The Speaker remarked that Pakistan offers ample opportunities for foreign investment, and the current economic policies are conducive to investment.

The Speaker expressed gratitude to the Saudi government for providing facilities and support to the Pakistani diaspora living in Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Ambassador thanked Speaker Sadiq for his warm remarks about Pak-Saudi ties and expressed best wishes for the leadership of Pakistan. He reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to maintaining strong brotherly relations with Pakistan, pledging continued support for the sustainable development and prosperity of Pakistan.
