State Bank wins Governor’s Cup Inter Banks’ Cricket Tournament

Karachi, January 29, 2013 (PPI-OT): State Bank of Pakistan won the 11th SBP Governor’s Cup Inter Banks’ Regional Cricket Tournament 2012- 13 by beating United Bank by 27 runs in the final played at SBP Sports Complex, North Nazimabad, Karachi.

Batting first, SBP scored 179 for 7 in 20 overs. Ehsan Ali (46) and Muhammad Afzal (43) of SBP were the main contributors. In reply, UBL could score 152 for 7 in the allotted overs. Noor Wali Khan of UBL scored a fine half century (55). M. Salman and Faraz Ahmed of SBP took 3 and 2 wickets respectively.
