Karachi, January 09, 2015 (PPI-OT): TCS, in collaboration with the Pakistan embassy in Abu Dhabi (UAE), has revived the facility of delivering passports and identity cards to the local Pakistani community. To this effect, a TCS delivery counter has started working in the Consular Hall of the Pakistan embassy from January 5, 2015.
This has been done to provide timely facilitation to Pakistanis residing in the UAE. All MRP and NICOP applicants residing in Abu Dhabi and adjoining areas can take advantage of the service which will be available on voluntary basis on payment of nominal charges.
Pakistan Ambassador Asif Durrani inaugurated the TCS service on January 7 in the presence of prominent community members and officials of the embassy and TCS. The ambassador appreciated the placing of the TCS counter at the embassy premises and said this was a very positive step.
Commenting on the service, Naiyer Saifi, Director Marketing and Public Affairs, TCS, said: “As Pakistan’s leading courier company and logistics provider, TCS is well aware of the problems faced by Pakistanis at locations such as Abu Dhabi in the delivery of documents by the Pakistan embassy and is taking all measures to facilitate them.”
