The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly distributed relief checks worth Rs

Islamabad, July 24, 2023 (PPI-OT): Relief checks worth Rs 33.33 million were distributed to the families affected by the recent rains belonging to Bannu. The relief check was distributed by Deputy Speaker National Assembly Zahid Akram Durrani in a function held at Commissioner Jirga Hall Bannu. Commissioner Bannu Manzoor Ahmed was also present on this occasion. Addressing the participants of the function, the Deputy Speaker said that the present government believes in the welfare of the people and is taking practical measures instead of empty slogans. He assured the families that no effort will be spared for their complete rehabilitation and all possible measures will be taken.

He said that the affected families who have not received the relief checks will also receive the relief soon. The Deputy Speaker expressed his heartfelt sympathy to the families of those who died during the rains and prayed to Allah Almighty to raise the ranks of the deceased and give the bereaved families courage to bear this irreparable loss. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of those who were injured during the rains.
