Karachi: TikTok has unveiled its Q2 2025 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report, highlighting its efforts to maintain a secure digital environment. The report outlines TikTok’s measures to identify and remove content that contravenes its Community Guidelines from April to June 2025.
In Pakistan, TikTok removed 25,448,992 videos during this period due to guideline violations. Notably, 99.7% of these videos were proactively removed, with 96.2% taken down within 24 hours.
Globally, TikTok removed 189,578,228 videos, accounting for 0.7% of all content uploaded to the platform. Automated technologies identified and removed 163,962,241 videos, while 7,457,309 were reinstated after review. The proactive removal rate was 99.1%, with 94.4% of flagged content removed within 24 hours.
The report reveals that 30.6% of globally removed videos featured sensitive themes, 14.0% breached safety standards, and 6.1% violated privacy guidelines. Additionally, 45.0% were flagged as misinformation, and 23.8% as edited or AI-generated content.
