Tragic House Collapse in Karak Claims Lives of Two Children Amid Heavy Rains

Karak: A devastating house collapse in Karak, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, caused by intense rainfall, resulted in the deaths of two young children and injuries to two other family members on August 3, 2024.

According to Provincial Disaster Management Authority, the incident occurred during a severe rainstorm that led to the collapse of a room in the home of Akhtar Naseem. His sons, seven-year-old Azlan and one-year-old Khasman, were tragically killed. Naseem’s wife, Sira Naz, and another daughter, eight-year-old Manwa, sustained injuries in the collapse.

This event highlights the ongoing risks posed by extreme weather conditions in the region, prompting calls for increased attention to structural safety and disaster preparedness in vulnerable communities.
