Tragic Road Accident in Punjab Claims Lives of Four from IIOJK Family

Jammu, A devastating road accident on the Hoshiarpur-Tanda road in Indian Punjab resulted in the deaths of four family members from Kakryal area of Katra town in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, including a six-year-old child. Another family member was injured in the collision involving their private car and a truck.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the accident occurred near the Addan Saran area within the jurisdiction of Police Station Tanda in Hoshiarpur district. A car carrying five family members was struck by a truck, instantly killing four individuals, including the driver, and injuring another. ASI Rajesh Kumar of Police Station Tanda, the investigating officer of the case, identified the deceased as Farooq Ahmed, his brother Aarif Ahmed, and two children, Mobish (17) and Arshlan (6). Sarish Naznin, Farooq Ahmed’s wife, was the sole survivor and has been hospitalized in Amritsar.

The family was reportedly traveling to the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh for medical treatment for Aarif Ahmed. The local police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident, seeking to determine the specifics of the crash and any contributory factors.
