Karachi, Sindh Provincial Energy Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah made an unscheduled late-night visit to K Electric’s Central Load Dispatch Center to inspect operations and discuss strategies to alleviate the city’s ongoing load shedding issues. During his visit, he received assurances from officials that load shedding would significantly decrease in the coming days.
According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Sindh, Minister Shah was briefed in detail about the operations and the measures being implemented to reduce power outages. Officials at the center committed to a substantial reduction in load shedding, expecting noticeable improvements within three to four days. The minister emphasized that the visit was part of an initiative directed by Chairman Bilawal Bhutto and the Sindh government to address the public’s hardships due to the severe heat and frequent power cuts.
Minister Shah highlighted that both Chairman Bhutto and the Chief Minister of Sindh are acutely aware of the citizens’ difficulties and are committed to providing maximum relief. He also noted that K Electric faces several challenges, but assured that the Sindh Government would offer all possible support to help the utility meet the city’s electricity demands and reduce the inconvenience to the people.
