Turbat Holds Strategic Meeting to Combat Dengue Spread

Quetta, A significant meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan was convened in Turbat to address the ongoing dengue outbreak. The session focused on discussing the eradication and prevention of the dengue virus and involved key officials from various health and finance sectors.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the meeting included detailed briefings on the current state of dengue prevention, including the availability of necessary drugs, equipment, and machinery. The Chief Secretary instructed the officers to initiate and coordinate comprehensive awareness campaigns across districts and union councils.

He stressed the importance of maintaining strict environmental controls such as covering water tanks, preventing water accumulation, and ensuring that no open water containers are left in homes to mitigate the spread of the virus. Shakeel Qadir Khan reiterated the government’s commitment to intensifying efforts to completely eradicate dengue, highlighting the critical need for rigorous implementation of preventative measures.
