Two Indian soldiers injured after rifle goes off in Rajouri

Jammu, June 07, 2023 (PPI-OT): Two Indian Army men were injured, today, in a firing incident in Rajouri district of Jammu region. The incident occurred when rifle of one of the army men went off accidentally during a routine exercise inside a camp in Manjakote area of the district, resulting in the injuring of two soldiers. They were shifted to an army hospital for treatment.

It is to mention here that such incidents keep on occurring from time to time due to lack of training in handling the weapons and non-professional attitude of the Indian Army personnel. Many Indian soldiers have lost their lives while scores others have sustained injuries in such incidents.
