UAE Restricts Sea Export of Fresh Chilled Meat from Pakistan; The Organic Meat Company Limited to Continue Supply via Alternate Routes

Karachi, In adherence to Section 96 of the Securities Act, 2015, and Clause 5.6.1(a) of the PSX Regulations, it has been officially communicated that the Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has imposed restrictions on the export of fresh chilled meat from Pakistan via sea, effective from October 10, 2023.

The imposition of this restriction is rooted in an unfortunate incident where a meat exporter, not affiliated with The Organic Meat Company Limited, shipped sub-quality fresh chilled meat to the UAE via sea, leading to concerns about product quality and safety.

It is important to clarify that this restriction solely applies to the export of fresh chilled meat and shipments via sea. Exports via air remain unaffected. Furthermore, there are no restrictions on the export of either frozen or vacuum-packed fresh chilled meat shipments to the UAE via sea.

The Organic Meat Company Limited wishes to reassure its valued customers and prospects in the UAE that it possesses extensive facilities to provide high-quality frozen and vacuum-packed chilled meat products. The company is committed to maintaining its sea route for these alternative product categories, ensuring a seamless supply chain that will not impact its revenues and margins.

The Organic Meat Company Limited remains dedicated to delivering top-tier meat products to its UAE clientele, and this strategic adjustment in the wake of the export restriction serves as a testament to its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
