Sialkot, A significant step towards enhancing bilateral trade and investment between the United Kingdom and Pakistan was taken with the visit of the UK-Pakistan Inward Trade Mission to the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI). Mr. Ahmed Jamal Nasir Awan, President of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, acknowledged the potential for increased trade between Pakistan and the UK, commending the use of advanced technology by local enterprises like Forward Sports and the notable contribution of women in the workforce to the economy.
Mr. Fabian Hartwell, a representative from the British High Commission, lauded the collaborative efforts between the British High Commission and WCCIS in organizing the We-Exhibit alongside the International Trade Centre (ITC) and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). He emphasized the UK Government’s dedication to promoting women’s empowerment as a core agenda and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting this cause in partnership with SCCI and WCCIS.
