UN urged to take notice of India’s illegal claim

Srinagar, January 03, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML) has urged the United Nations (UN) to take notice of the illegal claim of India that Jammu and Kashmir is its integral part. The JKML spokesman, Muhammad Rafique Ganai, in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the Delhi’s claim was not only against the reality but was also violation of the UN resolutions. He urged the World Body to implement its resolutions for settlement of the Kashmir dispute.

He demanded of the UN to come forward and help the people of Kashmir in achieving their birthright to self-determination. He said that the peaceful settlement of the conflict over Kashmir would also bring prosperity in the South Asian region.
