Karachi: Urea off-take in October 2025 is projected to experience a slight year-on-year decline of 2%, according to recent data. The cumulative decrease in urea off-take for the first ten months of 2025 is expected to ease to 7.6%. The industry aims to close the year with over 6 million tons in total off-take, necessitating a target of over 1.4 million tons for November and December 2025.
Fauji Fertilizer Company (FFC) is anticipated to report a decrease in sales volume, reaching 166,000 tons, down 7% from the previous year. This figure includes 25,000 tons of granular urea. In contrast, Engro Fertilizers Limited (EFERT) is expected to see a 22% increase in sales, totaling 122,000 tons. Fatima Fertilizer Company Limited (FATIMA), however, is likely to report a substantial decline with sales at 43,000 tons, a 27% drop year-on-year.
Meanwhile, the off-take of Diammonium Phosphate (DAP) for October 2025 is forecasted at 140,000 tons, representing a 55% decrease from the previous year. However, this figure marks a 44% increase from the previous month, attributed to seasonal influences. Despite this rise, DAP volumes remain under strain due to elevated prices and less favorable farm economics.
