US Mission in Pakistan Promotes Women’s Participation and Cultural Preservation

Islamabad, Kristin Hawkins, the United States Consul General in Lahore, has stated that the US Mission in Pakistan is actively promoting women’s participation through various initiatives, including exchange programs, educational scholarships, and internship opportunities. This effort is part of a broader commitment to cultural and educational exchange between the United States and Pakistan.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, in her interview, Hawkins highlighted the extensive contributions of the US Mission to cultural preservation in Pakistan, with funding allocated to 35 projects totaling one million dollars. These initiatives underscore the United States’ dedication to fostering educational and cultural exchanges, as well as supporting women’s empowerment in Pakistan.

The Consul General detailed several key programs facilitated by the US Mission, such as the Fulbright Scholarship, International Visitors Leadership Program, and various student and high school exchange programs. These are designed to provide Pakistani citizens, especially women, with opportunities for educational advancement and cultural interaction.
