World Bank approves $100m for Punjab family planning program

World Bank will provide one hundred million dollars to Punjab government for improvement of family planning services in the province.

Country Director of World Bank for Pakistan Najy Benhassine in a statement said the institution’s approved assistance will help curtail population growth in the most populated province.

He said this program aims to achieve universal access to reproductive healthcare and raise usage of family planning methods in Punjab to 60 percent by 2030.
