Srinagar, May 27, 2023 (PPI-OT): The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Alliance (JKLA) has urged the international community to take immediate notice of the threats to the life of illegally detained Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front chief Muhammad Yasin Malik. The JKLA spokesman, Sajjad Mir, in a statement issued in Srinagar said the fascist Modi government is continuously failing despite trying all kinds of cruel tactics in the occupied territory. He said the Modi government is playing with the lives of minorities and especially Muslims, in India and people in IIOJK to hide these failures and divert attention of the international community from its state terrorism.
The spokesman said the successive martyrdoms of Muslims in the occupied territory and India and the nefarious intentions about the leading Hurriyat leader Muhammad Yasin Malik are part of the Hindutva agenda of the Modi government. He added that on May 25 last year, a court in New Delhi had sentenced Muhammad Yasin Malik to life imprisonment, but now after the political defeat of the BJP in the Karnataka assembly elections, the Modi government had accelerated the process of playing with the lives of Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders to incite the religious sentiments of Hindus and win the 2024 elections.
The spokesperson said in these critical situations, the justice-loving nations of the world, the Muslim Ummah and human rights organisations should come forward and stop the unrestrained hands of Hindutva, otherwise the colonial mentality can endanger the peace of the world.
He urged the government of Pakistan to launch a vigorous campaign at the diplomatic level and inform the world about the threats to Yasin Malik’s life. He said if this fascism is not stopped, like Syed Ali Gilani, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Altaf Ahmad Shah, Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Afzal Guru, Muhammad Yasin Malik will also be martyred during detention. The spokesperson also thanked the countries that boycotted the G20 meeting in IIOJK.
