Karachi, April 08, 2014 (PPI-OT): Haq Parast MNA Abdul Waseem has said that the Yung generation may play a vital role in eliminating dengue fever if they are properly made aware of the danger and the preventive measures properly. He was addressing the Officials and the workers of the DMC Central in a meeting at DMC office New Karachi which was held to carry out a program to prevent the danger of dengue fever in DMC Central.

Haq Parast MPA Waseem Qureshi and Administrator DMC Central Kamal Mustafa were also present on the occasion. The MNA further said that the mosquitoes responsible for spreading dengue virus lay eggs in stagnant water, therefore, the water logging must not be left unattended anywhere in the Distt.

He said that the up-coming rainy season will provide more chances and facilities to the mosquitoes to lay their eggs, therefore, it is necessary to nip the larva and eggs of the mosquitoes in the bud by prying kerosene oil and other insecticides on the stagnant waters. He advised the DMC administration and the Water and Sewerage board to kick off the preventive measures to eliminate the leakage of water from water and sewerage lines and to dry the places where water logging was expected without waiting the storm to come.
