Young Man Found Dead in Udhampur Forest, Murder Suspected

Jammu: The body of 22-year-old Liyaqat Ali, who had been missing since July 17, was discovered in the Mandoban jungle of Udhampur district in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir, sparking concerns of foul play.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Ali’s body was found in a decomposed state with noticeable injury marks around his neck, suggesting he may have been murdered. The area falls under the jurisdiction of Chenani Police Station, where authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death. The presence of cut marks on Ali’s neck has led police to consider murder as a likely scenario.

In a separate incident in the district, a 40-year-old bank guard, Rakesh Singh, reportedly took his own life by hanging in the Kairn Galla Pattangarh Latti area.
