11 persons recovered from custody of kiln owner

Islamabad: Islamabad Police on Friday recovered 11 persons including four children and two women who were forced for the labour work at a kiln after being exploited by the kiln owner, a police spokesman said.

According to details, Nazeer Ahmed submitted an application in Supreme Court of Pakistan that he and his family are being exploited by Ch. Fazal, the owner of a kiln in Tarlai area and family members are forced for labour work too. He prayed for assistance from apex court and Chief Justice of Pakistan ordered IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan to solve the issue on merit and ensure relief to the applicant.

Following these directions, a special police team was constituted headed by SP (City) Muhammad Ilyas including SHO Koral Mehr Munawar, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Nawaz which raided in `Sodran’ area in Tarlai and recovered nine persons including two women and four children.

Police also recovered one Kalashnikov and 12 bore gun and arrested supervisor of kiln Javed. The recovered persons have been identified as Sakeena Bibi, Farzana Bibi, Aamir Ali, Ali Ahmed, Qasim Ali, Naseer Ahmed and Tanveer Ahmed.

Further investigation is underway. IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan have appreciated this performance and announced cash prizes as well as commendation certificates for members of police team.
