AAP Initiates Global ‘Mass Fast’ in Response to Arvind Kejriwal’s Arrest

New Delhi, The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has conducted a day-long ‘Samuhik Upwas’ or mass fast to protest against the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. This global event was staged not only in India but also in cities around the world, including New York, Boston, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Toronto, Melbourne, and London.

According to Kashmir Media Service, AAP leader Sanjay Singh, recently bailed in the Delhi liquor policy case, has been vocal in defending Kejriwal, implicating the BJP in a purported liquor scam. Singh highlighted the disproportionate focus on Kejriwal in the extensive chargesheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate and Central Bureau of Investigation, which contains 50,000 pages and names 456 witnesses, yet only four allegedly directly implicated Kejriwal.

Delhi Minister Atishi also supported this defense, accusing the BJP of orchestrating a liquor scam. Concurrently, a counter-protest titled “Sharab se sheesh Mahalâ€ is being held in Delhi, criticizing the AAP’s governance and policies.
