APHC-AJK Asserts India’s Military Tactics Cannot Quell Kashmiri Self-Determination

Islamabad, The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has declared that India’s military presence and actions in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) will not deter the Kashmiris’ quest for self-determination.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC-AJK Convener Mehmood Ahmed Saghar, in a statement from Islamabad, highlighted the transformation of IIOJK into a heavily militarized zone post-2019, with India allegedly seizing more lands to alter the demographic composition in favor of non-Kashmiris. Saghar criticized the issuance of domicile certificates to non-Kashmiris as a move to manipulate the population ratio, drawing parallels with Israeli settlement policies.

Saghar emphasized that the resolution of the Kashmir conflict, in accordance with United Nations resolutions and the Kashmiri populace’s wishes, is crucial for lasting peace in South Asia. He called upon the global community to intervene and facilitate a peaceful solution to this enduring dispute.
