Karachi: Administrator Karachi Mohammad Hussain Syed and DCO Karachi Roshan Ali Shaikh along with PAF Officials paid an aerial visit of the city on Saturday to review and check the cleanliness arrangements around the Air force bases and airports for Eid-ul-Azha.
On this occasion Administrator and DCO Karachi directed concerned town administrators to ensure thorough cleanliness around the air bases and airport in the city. Town administrators were instructed to form special teams for immediate removal and disposal of offal and remains of sacrificial animals during Eid-ul-Azha. These teams would be deputed solely in the areas around the PAF air bases and airport.
Town administrators were directed to clean and fumigate all the places where sacrifice of animals was performed.
The PAF Officials on this occasion informed the Administrator and DCO Karachi that birds flying on the offal and remains of animals caused air accidents in past which had resulted in loss of crores of rupees and precious lives, therefore, special arrangements should be taken around the air bases and airports to protect the air traffic from danger of accidents due to flying birds.
