Appointment of Mr. Jamil Ahmed Khan to the Board of Apna Microfinance Bank Limited

Karachi: Mr. Jamil Ahmed Khan has been appointed as the Non-Executive Director of Apna Microfinance Bank Limited, following the clearance from the State Bank of Pakistan.

According to the notification issued by the bank, Mr. Khan’s appointment took effect from April 1, 2024. This follows a formal clearance from the State Bank of Pakistan, as stated in their letter dated July 19, 2024, with the reference number SBPHOK-BPRD-CGD-APNAMFB-679484. He replaces Syed Rahat Ali Shah, who previously held the position on the board.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the appointment of a new director is part of routine board restructuring, which occurs across various companies listed on the exchange. Board changes are significant as they can impact the governance and strategic direction of companies.
