Around 54,000 prisoners languishing in Punjab’s jails awaiting decisions in their cases: Irfan

Islamabad, July 03, 2023 (PPI-OT): PML-N Leader Senator Irfan Siddiqui has said that fifty-three thousand nine hundred and thirty-six prisoners awaiting decisions in their cases are languishing in Punjab’s jails.

In a tweet on Monday, he said these prisoners also include nine hundred and forty-four women and their one hundred and thirty-three innocent children are also living with them. The Senator said that fifty-two thousand, four hundred and fifty cases are also pending in the Supreme Court for years.
