Attack on Malala is attack on daughters of Pakistan – Pir Mazhar

Karachi, October 13, 2012 (PPI-OT): Senior Minister for Education and Literacy Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq has said that Malala Yousuf Zai is a symbol of courage and tolerance and she has faced oppressed forces like Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed raised her voice against dictators. This he said in prayers ceremony here at Malala Yousuf Zai Government Secondary Girls School Mission Road Karachi on Saturday.

The ceremony was held to pray for early recovery of Malala Yousuf Zai. On this occasion Senior Minister for Education announced to upgrade Secondary School to Higher Secondary School and said that having recovered soon Malala would inaugurate the up gradation ceremony herself.

He said that attack on her was an attack on all daughters of Pakistan and no any father could tolerate attack on his daughter. She raised her voice against cruelty in Sawat and was spreading beacon light of knowledge. Now time has come that we should send message to these cruels that we would continue her mission.

Senior Minister added, ‘It is a fact that if Shaheed Benazir Bhutto could not get education, she would not have become prime minister of Pakistan. Our girls children can change their life by getting education’. He said that those who said that they did not attack on women, they admitted that they attacked Malala. They do not deserved to be called human or muslim.

He said that some days back he went to Peshawar to inquire health of Malala and met her father Ziauddin Zai and assured him the full co-operation of all political parties, people of Pakistan and specially of Sindh. On this occasion the girls of the school gave 50 thousand rupees to Minister for education for Malala Yousuf Zai.

He said that he had come to school on special directives of Chief Minister Sindh to attend prayer ceremony. Prayers were also offered for Shazia and Kainat who were also injured in the attack.
