Aviation Minister Inspects Restoration Efforts at Lahore Airport

Lahore, During a recent visit to the Lahore Airport Terminal building, Aviation Minister Khwaja M Asif conducted a thorough inspection of the area affected by a recent fire. The Minister reviewed the ongoing restoration efforts, particularly focusing on the International Border Management System (IBMS) that is critical for immigration processes.

According to Press Information Department, while domestic operations and other systems have been restored, efforts to fully reinstate the IBMS are underway with specialized equipment and a team from Islamabad. Minister Asif emphasized the urgency of this restoration, instructing that it be prioritized to ensure the swift resumption of international flight operations. He also took the opportunity to commend the personnel from various agencies for their diligent work in managing the airport’s recovery from the fire incident.
