Islamabad: President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan has commenced a two-day official visit to Pakistan, arriving in Islamabad where he was warmly received by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, President Aliyev is scheduled to meet with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. The leaders are expected to discuss a wide range of topics aimed at strengthening bilateral relations, with several agreements and Memorandums of Understanding anticipated to be signed during the visit. This visit underscores the growing diplomatic and economic ties between Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
