Balochistan Government to Purchase 500,000 Tons of Wheat to Support Local Farmers

Pishin, Provincial Food Minister Haji Noor Muhammad Damar announced a significant initiative by the Balochistan government to purchase 500,000 tons of wheat from local farmers. This move is aimed at bolstering agricultural support and ensuring the quality of food supplies in the province.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the finance ministry has been directed to allocate 5 billion rupees for this purchase. The decision underscores the government’s commitment to providing quality and affordable wheat to the citizens. Furthermore, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has approved an additional 13.9 million rupees for the procurement of bardana (jute bags) to facilitate this operation. During his visit to the PR Center managed by the Food Department, Minister Damar expressed satisfaction with the current wheat stock and the management practices observed at the storage facilities.
