Balochistan Health Secretary Visits Qila Saifullah Hospital, Issues Orders to Improve Services and Enforce Attendance

Qila Saifullah, Secretary Health Abdullah Khan, along with District Health Officer (DHO) Qila Saifullah and Staff Officer Secretary Health Shaukat Baloch, visited the District Headquarters Hospital Qila Saifullah to inspect the hospital’s operations and evaluate its service delivery. The visit was part of the ongoing efforts to ensure quality healthcare services and address any deficiencies within the hospital system.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Secretary Health Abdullah Khan received a briefing on the hospital’s services and visited various units and wards, including the EPI (Expanded Program on Immunization), the Nutrition Center, and other service delivery sites. During his inspection, he also examined the construction of a waste management system and assessed its progress.

At the telehealth center, the Health Secretary was informed that three consultants had recently been appointed at the District Headquarters Hospital, which has positively impacted patient care. Secretary Health issued several directives to improve the hospital’s services, including the establishment of a family planning corner in the labor room with the assistance of the District Population Officer. He emphasized the need for regular attendance by staff and instructed the District Health Committee to ensure compliance.

In response to the inspection, the Secretary Health also issued orders to immediately transfer non-attending janitorial staff and instructed the Medical Superintendent (MS) to ensure proper attendance and avoid further negligence. The MS, following the Secretary’s orders, issued a written warning to the staff and submitted the names of the non-compliant personnel to the Secretary for further action.

The visit aimed to ensure that the District Headquarters Hospital provides adequate healthcare services and maintains a high standard of operations. The Secretary Health’s directives signal a commitment to improving healthcare services and enforcing accountability among hospital staff to benefit the residents of Qila Saifullah and surrounding areas.
