Balochistan Chief Minister Forms Committee to Address PMS Proposals and Cadre Settlement Issues

Quetta, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti met with a representative delegation of the Balochistan Civil Secretariat Officers Association, led by Abdul Malik Kakar, to discuss the implementation of proposals related to the formation of Provincial Management Service (PMS) and the settlement of cadre issues. The meeting aimed to find solutions for long-standing issues concerning Assistant Executive Officers.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Chief Minister Bugti formed a committee comprising the presidents of the three officers associations. He directed the committee to prepare comprehensive proposals and submit them to the Principal Secretary’s Office within ten days to resolve these issues permanently. The Chief Minister emphasized that good governance requires reforms and merit establishment at all levels, stating that the provincial government is reviewing detailed proposals related to reforms.

Bugti explained that setting the right direction is crucial for achieving objectives and that reform efforts will determine the appropriate course. He noted that the Balochistan Civil Secretariat Officers Association had expressed its support for the Chief Minister’s reform agenda and assured full cooperation.

The meeting highlighted the need to address long-standing issues and implement reforms to promote good governance. The committee’s formation represents a step toward addressing the challenges faced by Balochistan’s civil secretariat officers, with a focus on achieving merit and improving administrative efficiency.
