Balochistan Veterinary Association Calls for Protection After Butchers Attack

Quetta, The Pakistan Veterinary Medical Association Balochistan Zone has issued a strong condemnation following an attack on a District Livestock Officer by local butchers. The association is now calling for increased security measures for veterinary professionals during market inspections.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, this is not the first instance of harassment faced by veterinary doctors from various groups while performing their duties. Despite these challenges, the veterinary doctors have continued to fulfill their responsibilities effectively. The association has appealed to the Balochistan government to ensure the safety of these professionals and to take legal action against the perpetrators to prevent similar incidents in the future. They emphasized their commitment to taking any necessary steps to protect their members.
