China Reaffirms Strong Friendship and Strategic Cooperation with Pakistan Ahead of Prime Minister’s Visit

Islamabad, As Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif prepares for a significant five-day visit to China next month, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reaffirmed the long-standing friendship and strategic cooperation between the two nations. This visit, which is the Prime Minister’s first to China since the establishment of Pakistan’s current government, is seen as a pivotal moment to enhance bilateral relations and explore new areas of mutual interest.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during his visit, Prime Minister Sharif is scheduled to meet with key Chinese leaders including President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Qiang, and Chairman Zhao Leji of the National People’s Congress Standing Committee. The discussions are set to focus on strengthening bilateral ties and developing joint action plans.

The Prime Minister’s itinerary also includes visits to the provinces of Guangdong and Shaanxi, emphasizing the depth of the diplomatic engagement. The Chinese Foreign Office highlighted the enduring partnership between the two countries, likening the friendship to Mount Tai—a symbol of enduring strength and stability in Chinese culture, underscoring the deep-rooted bond and strategic importance of Pakistan-China relations.
