Clarification of PRA by PCJCCI
Lahore, December 12, 2019 (PPI-OT): The 16% Tax to be collected by the Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) is basically the Punjab Sales Tax (PST) on Services, which is charged on the sales and not on profit of a company. This has been clarified by the Pak-China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) in reference to the address of Chairman PRA Mr. Zain ul Abidin at a seminar held at PCJCCI premises for awareness of the business community. The revenue collected so is, however, utilized for well-being of the province of Punjab, the clarification added.
