COAS Commends Pakistan-China Military Ties at PLA Anniversary

Islamabad: The Chief of Army Staff, General Syed Asim Munir, highlighted the robust military cooperation between Pakistan and China during the 97th anniversary celebration of the People’s Liberation Army, held at GHQ in Rawalpindi.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the event was attended by the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong, as the chief guest, along with Defence Attaché Major General Wang Zhong and other dignitaries. General Munir praised the PLA’s role in China’s defense and development and underscored the strong bilateral military relations, describing them as an “iron clad brotherhood.” The Chinese Ambassador commended the Pakistani military’s efforts in counter-terrorism, noting their significant contributions to regional peace and stability.
