Islamabad: The ongoing efforts by relevant agencies to combat smuggling have yielded substantial results this month, with authorities recovering large quantities of illegal goods, including Iranian oil, across the country.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the crackdown has led to the seizure of 1.21 metric tons of sugar, 4184.86 metric tons of fertilizer, 196.48 metric tons of flour, 30,875 stocks of cigarettes, 322 cloth bags, and approximately 3.301 million liters of Iranian oil. These efforts are part of a broader initiative to curb illegal trading activities that undermine the nation’s economy and regulatory framework.
The seizures not only highlight the scale of smuggling operations but also demonstrate the commitment of the government agencies to enforce laws and regulations strictly.
