Istanbul, Foreign ministers from the D-8 group of developing countries convened in Istanbul today to address the ongoing conflict in Gaza, with plans to issue a unified declaration opposing Israel’s actions in the region.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the extraordinary meeting aims to solidify a collective stance among the D-8 member states concerning the situation in Gaza. The anticipated declaration is expected to reflect a strong consensus against the conflict, emphasizing the need for urgent international attention and resolution.
Pakistan’s representation at the meeting is led by Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, highlighting the country’s active role in the discussion and its commitment to a collaborative diplomatic effort to address the crisis.
