Defence Minister condemns May 9 incident as an attack on state sovereignty

Sialkot, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has denounced the May 9 incident, labeling it an attack on Pakistan’s state sovereignty and vowing that those involved will face consequences.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a press interaction in Sialkot, Asif described the events of May 9 as having crossed a red line, with the involved miscreants orchestrating a conspiracy that led to a planned attack on military installations. He stressed the importance of keeping the doors of dialogue open in politics but warned that selective conversations are doomed to fail.
