Deputy PM Dar Calls on Germany to Ensure Diplomatic Security Following Consulate Incident

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has called on the German government to adhere to its obligations under the Vienna Conventions, emphasizing the need for enhanced security for Pakistan’s diplomatic missions and staff in Germany.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Dar expressed his concerns through a post on the social media platform X, condemning an incident at Pakistan’s consulate in Frankfurt where extremists breached security, putting consular staff at risk.

The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted that a strong protest has been lodged with the German government, urging immediate actions to arrest and prosecute those involved in the breach and to address security lapses effectively.
