Karachi, In a move aimed at reinforcing public safety and curbing crime, Deputy Inspector General of Police West Karachi, Captain (Rtd) Asim Khan, has pledged to enhance security measures in the North Karachi Industrial Area. This commitment was made during his visit to the North Karachi Association of Trade and Industry (NKATI), highlighting a proactive approach to addressing the security concerns of industrialists in the region.
According to North Karachi Association of Trade and Industry, the meeting was attended by notable figures including Faisal Moiz Khan, President of NKATI, and other senior officials. During the visit, DIGP West outlined plans to increase patrolling, especially in the lead-up to and during Ramadan, to maintain law and order and deter criminal activities. The revised patrolling schedule will include heightened police presence from noon to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. until sunset, focusing on critical times when crimes are more likely to occur.
Faisal Moiz Khan expressed his appreciation for the DIG West’s visit and the discussions on enhancing security in the area. He underscored the importance of increased police vigilance along the entry and exit routes of the industrial zone, under strict supervision, to ensure a safer environment for the industrial community and their workers. The initiative aims to allow employees to commute to and from their workplaces without fear, thereby contributing to the overall productivity and economic stability of the region.
